BVS-Nepal London fundraising Launch

Burns Violence Survivors – Nepal (BVS-Nepal) is an NGO in Nepal that Alison Marston has been very involved in setting up since 2008.

This NGO had it's first fundraising launch event held at the Nepalese Embassy in London on the 6th of October 2010, organised by Alison and with the help of Emily Kate Stephens.

HRH The Princess royal was the guest of honor as she is the patron of a partner organisation the Acid Survivors Trust International (ASTI) who collaborated in organising the launch. The documentary ‘Meena’ was shown at the launch, not only to raise awareness of some of the very difficult, sensitive and challenging issues faced by BVS-Nepal and by young women in Nepal, but also to paint a very real and unbiased picture of the current situation.

This documentary was filmed, edited, produced and funded by Alison and Emily Kate for the NGO and also serves as a short documentary to showcase the work of Turning the Wheels Productions.

For more information about the work of BVS-Nepal, please contact Alison through this website and to find out more about the production of this film please contact Emily Kate, either one can be contacted regarding organising events.
